Wu Chow Review

Updated: May 28, 2020

When I think of what defines a great GF restaurant, the major two things that come to the spotlight are quality and quantity. Wu Chow definitely satisfies the latter, with GF options glossed across its menu's surface, but does it please the former? The short answer is yes.

The establishment as a whole is nice; the large windows accentuate the openness of the restaurant, the ceiling is uniquely designed, the tables are organized; however, the real star is the food. While the Sweet Corn and Egg Ribbon Soup is a great starter, the Sichuan Deep-Fried Chicken is a real standout... The fried chicken (surprisingly the dish is gluten-free) is both spicy and sweet; it is a unique but perfected twist on usual Fried Chicken recipes. The Tangerine Peel Beef, the Honey Pecan Gulf Prawns, and the Dry Fried Local Green Beans (which is surprisingly flavorful) are a few of the dishes that I recommend. Although the desserts are forgettable, the family-style nature of the restaurant's dishes ensures that any meal at the restaurant wouldn't have to end in an empty stomach. With the bounty of great GF dishes available, this restaurant is one of my personal favorites.
