I might have a small addiction to sushi. From the fresh seafood to the fluffy rice, I love it! The best part, however, is that a lot of sushi places are very gluten-free friendly; with gluten-free soy sauces available at many sushi restaurants, there are usually many GF options available. Here is a list of the best sushi restaurants in Austin with GF options.
Uchi
801 South Lamar Blvd.

The presentation of the dishes and the freshness and overall quality of the seafood are two personal standouts of the restaurant Uchi. With gluten-free soy sauce offered and many GF options available (ask your server for more details; dishes that are GF are not listed as such on the menu), this restaurant gets my recommendation.
Uchiko
4200 North Lamar Blvd.

As the sister restaurant to Uchi, Uchiko has the same gluten-free (and overall) benefits of Uchi with a slight direction towards unique and innovative Japanese "farmhouse" dishes. While some may prefer Uchi over Uchiko, or the other way around, both restaurants are favorites of mine for their gluten-free availability and quality; this restaurant also gets my recommendation.
Tomodachi Sushi
4101 W Parmer Ln.
Although I am not the biggest fan of Tomo, mainly due to its limited GF selection and all of the great GF restaurants in Austin, the staff were very considerate and made sure that the dishes I got were GF. The restaurant also has gluten-free soy sauce; however, a large majority of the menu is unfortunately not GF, and the quality of the food was average compared to the other sushi restaurants I have been to. Therefore, this place does not earn my recommendation, although there are decent GF options available.
Musashino Sushi Dokoro
2905 San Gabriel St. #200
This restaurant is a hidden gem of sushi; the quality of the fish was really good, and many GF options were available the last time I went, in late 2018. The rice was also a standout, with it standing up to the flavors of the fish in the sushi. This restaurant earns my recommendation, even though it is not as high-end as places like Uchi and Uchiko.
Although this list is very short, I will update it as I explore more GF sushi restaurants in Austin! If you have any recommendations for sushi restaurants that I did not mention, please feel free to leave a comment!
